The pack
What to bring, for a hot day or a rainy one
Everything fits in one pack, and everything carries your camper's first name.
For the day
Camp has shade and water, and campers fill their bottles often.
A hat and sunscreen already on
A filled water bottle
Closed shoes for games
For lunch
Camp follows a food rule, so lunches are dairy or vegetarian, in a cold pack.
Cheese, egg, fish or vegetable sandwiches
Fruit, vegetables and yogurt
No pork, shellfish or meat
For rain and cold rooms
Light rain doesn't cancel camp, and the rooms are air conditioned.
A rain jacket
A light sweatshirt
A dry change of clothes in a bag
For Friday
Campers bake challah in the morning and sit in a circle on the lawn at the gathering.
Clothes that can get floury
A clean shirt for the circle, if they like
A hat for the lawn
At home
What to leave at home
Phones and tablets
Campers can use the office phone, and we call you if we need you.
Toys and cards
They get lost in the grass and make sharing hard.
Anything valuable
Jewelry, watches and good shoes stay in the dresser at home.
